Walter attended two years of college at Vincennes University, Vincennes, Indiana and earned an Associate in Science Degree. Later, Walter attended Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. After years in the retail business, Walter went back to school at Murray State University, in Murray, Kentucky, where he earned his Master of Arts degree in English. In addition to being a professional and technical writer, Walter taught evening classes in General Educational Development and English as a Second Language at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. Walter has written numerous short stories and articles of interest for several newspapers and regional magazines. Much of his poetry has been published in various Veteran’s magazines. Walter is also a world-wide traveler. He has traveled all throughout Southeast Asia, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, Wake Island and Guam. Walter has also traveled through Spain and spent three months on the Island of Cyprus. Recently, Walter and his wife, Arlene, traveled through Ireland.
